This is a beautiful song, reminding girls and boys that we are worth more than gold.  No matter what other people have told you, you’re amazing.  We need to keep our heads high and keep shining God’s light through us.

So don’t let anybody tell you that you’re not loved.  And don’t let anybody tell you that you’re not enough.  Yeah, there are days when we all feel like we’re messed up.  But the truth is that we’re all diamonds in the rough.

All This Time

Britt’s new hit single.  The first one I heard from this album.  Actually, I was writing this review and when this song came on, I just had to pause for a moment and just praise God.  This song…just overwhelms me.

All this time, from the first tear cried ‘til today’s sunrise; and every single moment between.  You were there.  You were always there.  It was You and I.  You’ve been walking with me all this time.

Look Like Love

It’s up to us to leave a legacy of love.  And if we are all they’ve (the world) ever seen, then it should be a good memory that they have of us, right?  If Jesus is in you, and He is the proof that there’s a Savior, then they should be able to see Him through you.

 Who You Say You Are

‘Cause I know, I know, I know You are who You say You are.  You are the one still standin’ when everything is fallin’ apart.  Yeah, You got my heart.  I’ll still be smilin’ when the sky is dark ‘cause I believe that You are who You say You are.

Ready or Not (featuring Lecrae)

Yup!  You read that ^ right!  Britt and Lecrae.  A legit duo to hear singing together!  This song talks about not being afraid to show your light (see a theme yet? ;).  About not hiding our light under a box, but instead taking it over all the world, to the young, the old, every boy and girl.

And I pledge allegiance to being somebody real.  There’s no more holding it back.  I’m showin’ ‘em how I feel ‘cuz love is more than a word.  It’s a noun, an da verb, and hidin’ it is absurd.  Ya heard, ready or not.

This song has some fun sound effects!!

 

Breakthrough

Honestly, this song starts out kinda creepy sounding.  I don’t know if it’s just me or what.  But when it reaches the chorus, it gets better. Haha

Basically, this song is talking about not sitting around anymore.  Because our hearts were made to fly, and we are overdue for a breakthrough.

Stand

Those days when we wake up and aren’t sure how we’ll get through it.  We feel like giving up because our hearts hurt too much.  We’ve reached the end of the rope and don’t know where to go.

…No, I won’t turn and run.  This battle will be won when I’ve done all I can. I stand, stand, stand…

 

The Sun is Rising

A lot like the previous song ^ Stand.

When you’re left hurting…and when the future you had hoped for is fading.  The dreams that you had set your heart on, are starting to lose their meaning.

…If you’re heart is breaking there’s a promise for the ones who just hold on.  Lift up your eyes and see the sun is rising.

Amazing Life

This song just makes you wanna get up and dance! :)  This life is beautiful!  God has blessed us with an amazing world to live in.  From starry nights to colorful skies.  The ocean…the sunshine…it’s all amazing.

It must be supernatural.

Still That Girl

I’m pretty sure this song was written about a real life friend of Britt’s.  It’s talking about when she was young and how her friend and she were both young and free.  But then her friend’s life took a turn and she fell and got hurt.  But that through it all, she’s still that girl who’s gonna change the world.

It’s a beautiful song!  And I think, even if Britt wrote it to one girl in particular, it could be meant for any girl…who doesn’t give up on her dreams.  And who dares to believe that she can change the world.

Seeing For the First Time

Do you ever have those moments when you are just overwhelmed with the sense of God’s presence with you?  Those times when you’re lost in His beauty and love and forgiveness and you can’t move.  You’re just frozen in the knowledge of knowing that you are HIS.

Well this song is about that.  That feeling, that moment.  You wish you could dwell in it forever.  And you’ve never felt so alive.

I used to think we were worlds apart but look, here You are.  Let’s stay here for awhile.  Where Heaven touches Earth.  My heart begins to turn.  I’ve never felt so alive.
