May the odds be EVER in your favor...

{For some reason, this didn't post as scheduled (which was supposed to be last night/yesterday)...so sorry!!}

In honor of today being The Hunger Games official release date...
I will be doing this Hunger Games tag that has been circulating through the blogger realm.

I wasn't officially tagged, but I decided to snag it.
Why?

#1 - like I said...the movie is being released TODAY

#2 - I admit...yes...I am Team Hunger Games.
(more on that coming in my movie review)

While all of you dear readers are reading this post, I will be at a friend's house.  Awaiting the hour until I meet up with some of my chums in our usual gang hangout (a.k.a. Bridgeport) where we will be assembling to go and watch The Hunger Games.

Exciting, eh?

Yeah, I think so too.

Oh and you know what??  My bro got me an early birthday present:

Because he's so cool and loves me so much.  Yeah. ;)

Now!  On to the tag!!

---

1. Your sister's/brother's/best friend's name gets called at the reaping. What is your immediate reaction?

I think I would feel a range of emotions.
Shock...anger...grief...
With fists clenched, I would race out of my roped off area, into the path leading to the stage.  Push my sibling back behind me and yell, with all the fury, shock and sadness that I felt in my heart:
'I volunteer as tribute!'

2. In the training center, there are several different stations to practice your skills, some of them being how to camouflage yourself, archery, sword training, climbing, spear throwing, hand-to-hand combat (wrestling), and agility. Which one would you head for?

My bro and I like practicing archery.  I don't claim to be amazing at the bow and arrow, but I take pride in knowing how to nock an arrow onto my bowstring. :)  Does that count for something?
I need to brush up more on knife-throwing.  By the way, my bro is really, really good at that...
Camouflage would definitely be something I would go for too.  Especially since I'm an artist already.  Learning camouflage techniques would be something I would be 'good' at already, but would need to learn more about.

3. You're in the arena and the countdown has just started. When the cannon goes off, what's your strategy?

Get away from the Cornucopia as.fast.as.possible.  Grab whatever I think I could use right away and head for the nearest shelter.

4. You are feeling like you're being watched. You glance over your shoulder and sure enough, the youngest tribute in the Games is watching you. What do you do?

Say hello.

5. There are only four tributes left in the arena, including you. What do you do?

Well, it depends on who the last four are.
I would try to let them kill each other off first...but if they were after me, I would...think of a strategy.

6. Which supporting character are you most like and why?

I am not sure, actually.
I am reading through the book a second time (before I watch the movie)...
when I write my movie review, I will let you know ;)

7. Which supporting character is your favorite?
Finnick.
Sadly, he doesn't come into the picture till the second book...

Fun Random Fact:

See her hair?
The braid...

I do my hair like that...a lot.  Mostly just when I'm home, comfortable, lazy...
but I'm going to wear it like that for when I go see the movie.  I'm kind of excited:)

Let the seventy-fourth Hunger Games begin...

Okay I had a weird question for this. And it is would it be safe for Christian young girls and boys(in the age of 14-18) to read or watch this movie? This has been boggling in my head for days and days.

May the odds be in "HIS" favor:)

I loved the movie! Finally something that's not about vampires! Katniss and Peeta were great! I think this movie even had some good messages in it.
The Hunger Games does have its flaws, so I wouldn't read it unless you're 12 or older. Overall I thought the first book was pretty good.
