I got to see 'Captain America' in theaters...
which was epic.
Not only because I like watching movies in theaters, but because this movie is epic enough to watch in theaters.
I loved it.
Starring:
Chris Evans as
Steve Rogers/Captain America
I think Chris did a really, really good job!! And honestly, I hadn't really heard of him before seeing this movie.
Then afterwards, I was like 'Oh yeah! He's in 'The Notebook' and 'The Fantastic Four'.' AND he's gonna be in a new movie called 'What's Your Number?'
Before
I think they did a good job on putting Chris' head on a little body...
A some parts in the movie, I was thinking 'How are they gonna get him looking so good to play Captain America? This guy is puny!'
But they did fantastic!
On thing I noticed right away was how deep Steve Rogers' voice is...inside this little, tiny guy. :) But he went from being this ^
After
To this ^
Not bad.
(Oh and I think this ^ is a really cool picture, so I just decided to post it :)
Hayley Atwell as
Peggy Carter
(You may recognize her from 'Mansfield Park')
I loved this girl. It's not often that you see a girl in a movie that isn't a feminist and wants to be 'up and out there' with the guys.
Peggy knew her place.
Yes, she's in the army.
Yes, she can fight if need be.
But she let the men do it...
unless they needed her, of course. ;)
She had beautiful red lipstick!! Loved that! And her hair was adorable too.
And yes, there is a kiss!! Just to throw that out there. ;) Don't worry!!
Sebastian Stan as
James Buchanan 'Bucky' Barnes
This guy ^ was...really cool.
Tommy Lee Jones as
Colonel Chester Phillips
If it wasn't for him, there wouldn't really be that much bad language in this movie, but...he made me laugh constantly :) Tommy Lee is a great actor!
Hugo Weaving as
Johann Schmidt
I don't like this ^ guy.
Okay, so on a scale of 1 to 10...
I would rate this movie and 10. Definitely.
Oh, and there are TONS more really cool actors who are in here...
For example:
Toby Jones (he plays in Amazing Grace)
Richard Armitage (Mr. Thornton from North and South)
Samuel L. Jackson
JJ Field (Mr. Tilney from Northanger Abbey)
So yeah, those are just other reasons you need to go see this movie. ;)
But I have three questions for you...
#1 - Have you seen this movie?
#2 - What did you like the best about it?
#3 - How would you rate it?

11 of your thoughts:
I. LOVED. THIS. MOVIE. And I have to say I had a crush on little Skinny Steve, who was just adorable. And then he got all bulky and manly. Needless to say my crush got bigger :P
What did I like best about the movie? I don't know. I think it was just a great movie altogether.
I would rate it like....5 stars. Because of the action, the twist at the end, and the suspense for next year. The ending was a little sad and all {I don't want to spoil it for everyone else} but I'm still excited!
Great post :))

I really like your idea on movie reviews!
I have never seen it.. but after your review, I would love too! :)
What was it rated? As in, PG, G, PG-13?
I want to see this movie SOO bad! I was wondering what guy played the little tiny scrawny Steve and then I read (and saw) that it was computer generated... much better when he turns all buff. :-P I love Hugo Weaving. :-P Anyhoo, super happy to see your review. I may be doing a review on Rise of the Planet of the Apes soon. :) I'll let you know if I do. :)
Glad you're all enjoying the movie review ideas :) I have a few other ones, so...keep checking back! :)
Emily - It's rated PG-13
1) I have seen this movie.
2) I loved how true to period everything was...except for the superhero fantastical part of course!
3) I thought it was really good, but I actually like The Green Lantern better than this superhero movie this Summer.
This was one of those movies that I nitpicked to death (so much blatant anachronism. Dear set designers: those machines are not representative of 1940s aesthetics) but still loved.
The way the romance plot was handled was actually one of the things I liked the least. The romance just felt a little tacked-on to me, like the writers weren't sticking these characters together because they were compatible but rather because, well, it's a movie and characters fall in love in movies. Plus, Steve acted rather immature and jealous, which was at odds with his other characterization. I think I would have preferred that this one stay friendship.
I loved the scientist who invented the serum. He was a cool, philosophical guy. In retrospect, someone who's spent as much time on tvtropes.org as me should have seen what was coming for him….
This is a new huge favorite of mine! I did get to see it in theaters as well! LOVE IT! So worth the watch! Most beautiful, epic and adventurous film ever. I actually have a CA poster on my wall right now, too! :)
So glad you liked it!

After seeing "Thor" I was really excited to see Captain America but honestly it wasn't what I expected. I thought it would be a lot better. BUT it could be that I watched it a 1AM in the morning. maybe ;) Anyway, it was good but not as good I thought it would be. And I love Chris Evans! :) I just saw Fantastic 4 and i loooved it!
